Tangible Goals
Sometimes, an in-depth response is not needed, but a simple statement is not detailed enough. In this project summary, meager points were fleshed out to clarify a designer’s vision.
Project Summary
“The site for the Tulane Department of Surgery will implement the data and site map created and provided by Tulane staff, to ensure the inclusion of all relevant topics. The site will draw inspiration from the templates provided, improving on the look and feel when appropriate in order to accommodate the needs of the Department. Usability, good flow, and a feel that can be carried through to all marketing materials will also be important key elements in the development of the site.
“Different primary focuses to be kept in mind during the creation of the website include: an increase in the site’s part in assisting with recruiting prospective residents; the promotion of the continued medical education program; the establishment of the Department’s brand; and the accurate reflection of the University’s emphasis on strong tradition, as well as its momentum in moving towards the future.
“Mudbug will create an academic side to the site, geared towards successful recruitment by making the application process more streamlined and user-friendly, while providing access to information on the faculty, programs, and other positive facets of being a part of the Tulane Department of Surgery student body. On the other hand, the hospital section of the site will be built with a more warming, welcoming feel, without detracting from the prominence of the Tulane brand, to encourage the comfort of current and potential patients who may visit the site.”
